Something that should definitely improve your anatomy in short order would be to start by drawing a "skeleton" of basic shapes, and then "flesh" them out from there.
For instance, if you look at the palm of your hand, you'll notice it's basically a pentagon with fingers sticking out of it.
As for the comic itself, it really helps to have some negative/empty space between the panels. It takes some effort (and maybe a ruler) to make the frames look halfway decent, but it's well worth it.
Lastly, I like the comic thus far. I'm looking forward to its continuation.
