I'm not gonna try and explain exactly why it isn't fun but the story just wasn't an attention getter. If it was a fun scenario I'm sure more people might've at least raised a eyebrow. More relatable= less encumbersome to paint a vivid story. The easier it is for the reader to imagine an event taking place typically means a more passionate read from my standpoint.
