Either it’s just CGI or they simply slap makeup on the actor and then replace him/her with some creature they found lying around the effects department. They didn’t take the time to actually do the work and cast the performer’s body, as they painstakingly did for “AWIL” and “The Howling.”

TLDR: Casting the body is key.
