I've subscribed to most of the pay sites for these genre at least once. Most of them are usually a huge let down. Someone further in the thread suggests subscribing once and then snagging it all, that'd make more sense...still hardly worth it, given the quantity/quality of the work though.
On the other hand, I can't really be giving out money advice, I piss away 15 bucks a month on a City of Heroes subscription that I only play once a week!
