Bofuri has some good almost-there transformation moments, notably in
episode 8 of the first season.
In the episode, she gets the ability to transform into a giant Xenomorph (would love to eventually see fan art of this), and also has a magical girl transformation into a skimpier-outfit "machine god." That sequence is pretty good.
