More than likely, thus is the nature of anime
Although after looking into things a bit the first one is a case of the girl turning out to be be a bit of a yandere (there might be some background manipulations that made her snap even more but her main impetus for turning evil was she saw the guy she liked dancing with her female friend)
Although it is a bit amusing to hear her literally declaring another girl to be a whore when she has chosen this to be her default outfit...
