I went to school originally for video production. One of the most important lessons I got out of the schooling was that when creating a film, Audio is just as important to your movie than video. There is just as much work going into creating an audio production as there is a video production. That means all those instances of labor you mentioned could be paid for an audio production as well. I have just enough knowledge and way too much insecurity to not need/nor want to hire someone to do my editing, so I do it all myself, but just as you said video producers would need to hire an editor, I could, and probably should, do the same, but it would mean charging way more than I charge now to cover their costs. (This is also not an invitation for audio editors to contact me, I'm not particularly interested in getting one)

As far as costume costs, in the experiences I've heard, most girls will use their own clothes for costumes and if they need something specific for a custom video they will have the customer cover that cost for that new clothing. So yeah. money is spent, but not really at the cost of the producers.

Most videos are done in steady cam versions which means that another camera person isn't necessary. If you look over the library of one of the top women on clips4sale, Tara Tainton, you can tell that most of her stuff is just her, a camera and a tripod, and she does well enough that she doesn't need to take customs. Could she hire an editor/camera man/whatever? Absolutely, but it's not necessary to her work, it's not necessary to anyone's work. It's an expense of labor that the person could learn to do themselves, or pay someone else to do. That time your talking about me spending, yeah I could hire someone with money or I could spend my time. Eventually that time I spend gets shorter and shorter as I do it over and over again and get better and better at learning tricks of the trade. Same with video studios on fetish work, it starts out looking pretty cheap, but eventually it gets better and better as they work at it and find tricks to pull off what they want to do.

If I need to hire another lady to do work with me, I can, but I usually do it out of the customers pocket not my own, another instance of something I don't need to pay for it to produce it. This is usually how most fetish producers do it as well. They hire the specific actress out of the customers pocket, not their own.

As far as comics, It's still the same you're paying someone to do something they can do freely, and you could too if you learned how. I could hire writers (again, not an invitation) but I do a lot better with a brief outline/notes and making sure I hit all the good points. I did end up hiring an artist to work on the artwork on my niteflir/patreon/and other social media pages, but with enough practice and time, I could do it myself if I had the patience to learn. That is one thing I didn't have the time for so I paid for it.

So yes, if you don't want to learn how to do it yourself, you will need to spend money to hire someone else to do it for you, and it would be just as expensive for audio work as with video work, but it's not something you need to spend money on if you learn to do it yourself, and the first step to doing that, is just to start doing it, you're going to suck at it at first, everyone does. It's going to take you a pretty long time to do something you think is worth while, everyone started there. but if you stick with it, you'll find tips and tricks that work for you and soon enough you can do all that stuff yourself. So it really comes down to, do you want to spend money or time on the art you're selling. I chose time.

I hope this doesn't scare you away Oz, I just needed to get it out there that this isn't any different than a video production, it requires the same amount of resources/knowledge as any other fetish medium. It's not any different just because you can't see me.
