Many people would rather lurk than post so that they dont make fools of themselves in their own opinion. I'd say judging from how many views you have on this story, 500+ in less than a day, there is an interest in your story.
I personally liked how you incorporated so many different themes into the story like CNash said. Plus the reactions from both of the characters really made the story believable and helped it come to life.
The story rocks IMO, keep going. * 2 thumbs up*
