Shrunk - The series.
So ages ago, I had my drawing series about some girls who has mysteriously shrunk to about 4 ft overnight, and were wandering around trying to figure out why. I'd love to make an actual web comic about this, but I did sort of blank out on where to go with the idea.
What if there was a TV series like this? We'd need a series bible, and a bunch of plots for individual episodes. Also, what would be the legal consequences of trying to start a series by taking suggestions on the web? The idea of open source storytelling has fascinated me for a while, but I haven't been able to get anywhere with it. I know artists have lost control of their properties due to legal issues before. Even if it didn't get to the point where there was any money to fight over, I know sometimes people can be petty. Any thoughts to yield to the public? |

Yes yes YES!!! I remember this!!
Please, MOARZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for the legal matters, honestly it strikes me as nearly impossible to control content on the Interwebz. Sooner or later, anything good is snatched up (like some SW's I know) and carried off. About all you can do is attempt a copyright and hold your breath. |

I was more worried about the other way around. I might put tons of effort into it and then have someone else claim ownership because they once posted something.

You may have to alter some characters.

Perhaps the names - Kajira, Tawny, and Sailor Dolly, unless they gave me permission. As you can see from my current AVA, Sai doesn't look that much like Armatage.

Re: Shrunk - The series.
That's not what I am worried about.
Edit: I'm more worried that someone would cause grief in a way that would prevent new content from being created - like posting an idea, and then demanding exorbitant compensation after it has been used. Remember the SCO vrs Linux suit where SCO wouldn't even admit to what it was they claimed they owned, but still was demanding money from anyone who used linux. (And of course Microsoft was the first to fund, er "settle" with them.) Last edited by Prof_Sai; 05-10-2013 at 12:44 PM. |

Put up a disclaimer saying all content is community property or something to that effect.
