Pokemon TF Comic w/story
I've decided to make a comic out of a story I have been thinking about these past couple of days and was wondering if you guys would be interested in seeing the story in comic form. I have the bare basics of what will happen in the story but I won't put anything that will spoil anything. Since I can't anyway because this forum has no spoiler tags. >=(
Title:Still thinking of a Title for this story. :/ So the story is about a 19-20ish year old male in college going around campus leading girls to be transformed into anthro pokemon in his laboratory that he has in his grandpas house. There is where the main focus is as well as school life for him and there is a plot to this. But that would be spoiling the WHOLE story. :/ Characters Hiroshi- The main character, the 9-20ish year old male that excles in Bio Chemistry and wanted to work with the top scientist in W.P.C. research facility after he graduates but ever since the incident with Alana he has a new goal in life. Alana- A cheerful 19 year old girl who is also in the science field and would like to help nature and the earth prosper. While experimenting with an unkown chemical with Hiroshi, things turn out for the worse. Dr.Hanabi- The main characters dead great grandpa, worked for W.P.C. as well as owner of Hiroshi's current residence. The story revolves mostly around Hiroshi, but aside from the people listed there will be more people involved as well. Henshin University- is the name of the college they attend. W.P.C.- A scientific reasearch facility in helping the earth, making it a better place to live. Stands for World Peace Care. If you would like to know what will be going on in the story and don't care much for spoilers then PM me and I will tell you what will be happening in the story. |

Well first of all, what kind of comic are you setting this upon? Manga? American? Independent?
Well whatever it is... if it is a manga type, then I can give you some tips on the plot, panels, and character creation if you'd like.

Re: Pokemon TF Comic w/story
Since many people have been asking me to post the basis of the storyline on the thread I shall. But be warned the following are spoilers. So if you want to read an awesome transformation comic do not read ahead.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The story basically starts off with one of the kidnapped girls is about to be transformed but before she is, she gets into a conversation with Hiroshi about what hes doing and such. This is where the real story beings as well as the plot to why he is doing this. . . . . . Then the flashback will occur. The flashback tells the story of how Hiroshi got in the accident with Alana. It all started withe Alana coming across of a formula (this can be an equation or an actual substance) that will basically fuse the power of nature with a person. Since she would like to help Earth better it self and end pollution to the land she has to try it. (Think of a science hippie, thats the direction I would want her character to be) She can't do this by herself and seeks out Hiroshi to help her, and as to much of Hiroshi's negativity of doing this crazy experiment he goes with it anyway. (He detests because he loves her and doesn't want anything to happen to her) They go into Hiroshi's great grandfathers laboratory that is in his mansion to run the experiment. Hiroshi made nanobots to inject the person with the formula. (Right now im trying to figure out how the formula is going to be administered but for now im going with: a vat of the substance that has nanobots and the nanobots basically inject the formula in the body part that is submerged in the vat. I know it doesn't make sense right now, thats why its in the works). Alana volunteered to be tested on the formula, so she strips naked and dives in the substance. While this was happening Hiroshi was monitoring the computer and how the nanobots were reacting as well as how Alana's body was reacting to the nanites. Basically Hiroshi saw Alana in pain while being transformed into something unworldly and aborts the experiment. (because every computer has an abort button). Shit goes to hell and an explosion happened in the lab cause both Alana and Hiroshi to black out for a while. Hiroshi finally comes to and tries to find Alana in the debris, but all he found was an anthromorphic Bellossom (pokemon) that looked just like Alana. ( ![]() See, in this world they don't know what pokemon is or what they are capable of. So because of this tragedy Hiroshi takes it upon himself to find a cure for Alana by examining the formula more closely. Later in the story he figures out that there is a three digit numbered code within the formula that can change the outcome of the transformed. Hiroshi finds out the ability to change the numbers anywhere from 000 to 493. So after Hiroshi figures out how to control the nanites better without mind crushing himself he tested the formula again but this time his left hand would be transformed. He entered the number 000 and, well, I'll save this part. ( ![]() After the experiment with his left hand he keeps a black glove over it at all times. Knowing now that 000 is a for more horrible fate that Alana experienced that he did the only sane thing he could think of. Kidnap girls to be transformed into these creatures to find a cure for Alana and himself. And thats where the story leaves off where the kidnapped girl is being transformed into ???. If you read all this, congrats you ruined the whole plot for yourself. >=( But on a lighter note I have a concept sketch of how Hiroshi will look like. All I have to do now is Alana and quite possible the girl who is going to be transformed. As well as figure out what she will transform into. |

Re: Pokemon TF Comic w/story
I had an old story about a girl that had the DNA of all the Pokemon, and because of that it could have partial or full transformation into any Pokemon, people who had sex with her ended turned into a random Pokemon permanently, somehow years later that idea evolved into my current magical girl story....

Re: Pokemon TF Comic w/story
Well, at least you've completed the first process of creating the manga... The Basis story plot. Now to finish the story plot process, I'd recommend that you create a plot for individual pages... or panels if you're up to it.
Also, i've noticed that most manga comics produced by individuals have a strange view in panels, or in other words, it looks like the distance between characters and the background are way off. This type of thing is called a vector point... or vanishing point, in panels if you don't know already. Quite simply, a good thing to do is to draw a box on the panel, and make 4 straight lines toward that box. Now the point of the box of course is the vanishing point. Or where the sight of view of the reader supposedly ends. Now what we also need to add in, is how far you want the reader to see, if you're gonna do a close up you want the panel. Then you make a bigger box. What we try to achieve by doing this, is to make a sort of 3d guideline for the characters... Not some strange looking thing where a person looks smaller than he looks or farther than he should be from another object.

Re: Pokemon TF Comic w/story
Yeah I know about perspective. But uh, im just going to say this now, its not going to be a "manga styled" comic. Just a regular ol comic with a alright story line and a alright transformation sequence(s). Sure the characters are gonna like animu but the rest of it, well you'll see once I get this comic started. :/

Re: Pokemon TF Comic w/story
Yeah that was sort of what I was asking in the beginning... If this was actually going to follow the Manga perspective, or just a self produced comic that sort of "steals" the ideas of a Manga structure.
