HELP - Gifts for Boyfriend

I haven't got a clue what to get my boyfriend for Christmas yet. I like to get my shopping done ahead of time so this is particularly stressful for me. What's worse is his birthday is mid-January so I need to think of two great gifts for him quickly.

My boyfriend: He's a 36-year-old software engineer. Total geek, though outgoing. Gets bored easily. Owns a condominium undergoing an overhaul. Loves kids and animals. Writes porn. Is a voracious reader of primarily sci-fi though he will read anything. Enjoys doing Sudoku puzzles while riding the train to and from work. Loves boobs. Doesn't give a shit about his appearance. Enjoys snuggling.

Last/This year I gave him books for Christmas and this hoodie for his birthday.

Based on the information provided, if you think of any gift ideas for my dirty old man, they would be greatly appreciated. I love him very much and don't want to give him disappointing gifts. I want them to be fun, even if that means they're not particularly functional.

Please help.

Re: HELP - Gifts for Boyfriend

No gaming consoles. Actually, we own an original PlayStation from my childhood and a Super Nintendo from his. Neither are in use. I catch him playing computer games from the late nineties. He hasn't expressed interest in anything that was released recently though.

I'm still open to giving books and DVDs. They'd have to be special though. Like a few Christmases ago I gave him a DVD of the movie we saw on our first date.

Jecilyn - I actually gave him chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes AND syphilis last Christmas! Can't wait to get my hands on H1N1. Sadly, I vaccinated myself and my boyfriend against it so we won't be contracting it for free.

I'm in love with the Tribbles though. They're going to look fabulous next to the case of Romulan Ale atop our fridge. Definitly incorporationg those into one of his gifts.

Give him his own boobs - then you can snuggle.

I love the MRSA bug. Standard SA bug with a cape and fangs My partner works in a Lab and has, over time and 2 separate jobs, tested many foods and blood samples for a great deal of these. I think it's only fair to provide cuddly plush germs and diseases to celebrate

Re: HELP - Gifts for Boyfriend

Love the Trooper hoodie, that's terrific.

http://splitreason.com/ has good geek gear, you might find some amusing T's and/or artwork there.

http://firebox.com/ has a lot of stuff that's about 90% fun and 10% functional. Some of it is incredibly awesome.

Finally, if you want to give him books, has he read Jim Butcher's "The Dresden Files" or Simon Green's Nightside series? Those are some very entertaining books.

I suggest the Firefly DVD set. 14 episodes of pure win ^_^ One of hte greatest Sci-fi series of all time. Too bad it never got a real chance to shine.

Umm, maybe one of those shirts where it has a woman's body on it. Guys look funny wearing them, and I think they like "looking pretty" too! Teehee!

Re: HELP - Gifts for Boyfriend

I was thinking about getting fancy undies for myself but giving them to him as a gift. Made me feel sort of sleazy though.

I tried, very casually, to coax gift ideas out of him today. Uhg. The only one he gave me was a wallet. That's no fun at all.

He also said he wanted to see the Lion King when it comes to town. Tickets don't go on sale until March though so that one's a bust.
