TF text game, growing.
I don't know how many of you have been following the progress of the popularity of TF based text games in the last six months, but there has been an increasingly huge following to Fenoxo, Xadera, and Nuku Valente's projects. One in particular, called Flexible Survival has gone open source, as nuku has put out a call to increase the amount of content dramatically, and giving the tools for people with ideas to add to it.
http://nukuv.blogspot.com/ This is his blog, where the game is hosted, he posts regular updates to it, many times a day, and it's grown into the largest of the three text games by a good margin from a content perspective. http://web.flexiblesurvival.com/ This is the board if you want to contribute or add anything yourself into the game. Also, even bigger, Nuku started up some months back, a multiplayer version of FS, that has grown into one of the largest active adult content MUDs on the net. If you even have a mild interest in gaming in a TF orientated setting there are plenty of opportunities for even players who have zero experience with MUDs. The combat system is easy to learn for anyone who's ever played a Final Fantasy style ATB, and the gameplay has a surprising amount of depth and balance, while there are plenty of active writers who create complex role playing scenes for people to enjoy. http://flexiblesurvival.com/ or connect to flexiblesurvival.com:2000 with any MUD client. I'm certain at least some of you would enjoy exploring the process of transformation in great detail in a post apocalyptic setting. |

That game needs a faq in the worst way.

Well, what kind of FAQ? It follows most traditional text games using single letter directional keys.
N, W, E, S, NW, Ne, etc. Take, use, drink, eat, explore, scavenge, y, n, etc. Edit: Though, the browser / MMo one really needs one, it does have a wiki. Last edited by 209Icey; 07-07-2011 at 02:20 PM. Reason: Plus... |

More in the sense of "To get this, you need to do this", because I keep seeing all these features and "Endings" and stuff added and yet I cna't ever seem to find it in my playthroughs.

Re: TF text game, growing.
I posted these games before but its still good to see someone else interested. For the survival games, there are faqs and how to play on the forums for the games. Lots of discussions and rp.

Re: TF text game, growing.
Both games are incredibly fun to play and explore around in, and I had almost forgotten about them until they were posted here, thanks for reminding me!
