Stop using rapidshare.

Start using http://eatlime.com/files/

I like it generally because of the file sizes it allows for, downloading while uploading, no annoying authentication, and finally fast dl and upload speeds.

Re: Stop using rapidshare.

OH, my freaking GARD, pirate! Who turned you into a cat?

We need to know!

PS: That looks like a reasonable service, if the OP is correct. Has anyone else used it?

Re: Stop using rapidshare.

My big beef with Rapidshare is that they just changed their captcha to something almost unreadable - but with how often they change that (and how often it get broken), I think it'll change again rather soon.

Is Rapidshare that stupid one where you have to tell what's a cat, what's a dog and what's utterly useless in verification?

Re: Stop using rapidshare.

yes. and also rapid share doesn't give the speeds and spaces that eatlime does for free.

.......holy crap he's a cat- or is he? His sentence structure is not like that of a cat...

And Brazillian cats say:

It was already changed 4 times since the introduction in April 16 through April 20. The presets are below. Last time I checked the OCR match was at 20-25%~ of effectivity with the last one, it's likely the first ones with the cats and dogs weren't good enough, and they later added an extra character and then the distortion.

Re: Stop using rapidshare.

For upload yes, for downloading depends, basically I should focuse in 2 things:

A - Accesible from all the world / without specific country restrictions.
B - Rarely delete the files regardless of the content.

Exceptions to A, are MegaUpload and Badongo, exception to B is MediaFire, though there are likely to be other filesharing websites that do the same, 4Shared also works strange sometimes trowing corrupt files.

Furthermore MegaUpload is lately showing the 12 hours restriction again.

I really don't get the point of the increasingly difficult character prompts. Is there really some download bot that is that good at ocr and answering the prompts? Even if it was, doesn't the timer prevent the bot from being that much more of a leecher than just a person? Once you download enough, the whole site just say "WOAH!" You have to wait X amount of time to request another download. Unless you are a premium user and they don't even get the charater prompt, do they?
