The scariest "family film" ever?

So, did you, as a child, watch a family/children's movie that ended up scaring you just as bad as any horror movie?

And which one was it?

Does The Wizard of Oz count? The Wicked Witch of the West was terrifying.

Bambi. Nothing like watching a deer see its mother get killed to scar a young mind. For that matter, a lot of old Disney movies were terrifying.

Superman 3 - when that woman got robotised... scared me in a way that would not be detraumatised by sexualisation later in life.

Mars Attacks was unpleasant. Also the Black Cauldron has some disturbing scenes.

Mars Attacks wasn't a family film...

For me, it was The Brave Little Toaster. That was SCARY SHIT.

Also, Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland.
