Hey folks! Just wanted to let you all know about a new project I'm involved in. I'm writing (and, at least for this first issue, drawing) a series of transformation comics for TFVid.com.

The first issue, "The Tale of Io", is ~16 pages (14 pages of artwork), and is scheduled to be released late-ish next month. There's a one-page preview up (with the start of the BE sequence, hurray!) on the site: http://tfvid.com/2008/08/the-tale-of-io/

I'll also be uploading an "exclusive" preview on my dA page at some point soon, if anyone's interested.

I saw the title but couldn't comment until I got to a private location. Who's doing the art? This is the first time I've heard of TFVid... can you give a rundown of the site? I'd be interested in seeing the comic and helping to promote it via the website. The art is pretty good quality.

Well, without going into too much personal detail, TFVid.com is the product of a new adult video company (Rule 34 Productions) that I co-founded. TFVid is pretty much entirely my responsibility, at the moment, though there are a couple other people working on it.

As for the artwork--I'm drawing this issue (having given up on finding someone else to draw it for me), and a professional artist going by the name "Ambrose" is doing the color and backgrounds. Ambrose can be reached through me if anyone is interested in contacting him regarding a commission.

That's the plan, yep. Quite a bit of money has been invested in this project already (neither I nor Ambrose are working for free, after all), so we have to charge something. However, the selling price has not been decided upon yet, and we are open to suggestions. How much would you pay for a 14-16 page comic of this quality?

One last thing: if this issue manages to break even, there are a number of additional stories I would like to do. In many ways, I consider this project my life's work--it's something I've been playing with in my head since I first discovered Ovid, over ten years ago, and will probably continue working on for a long, long time.

Anyway, I'll keep you all updated as the issue nears completion.

Seems I'm in the same boat as a few around here: it's actually the first time I hear about your website Candide. But if you're serious about this, I'll definitely take a look.

I'm curious to know if you considered the possibility of including FMG in your list of physical metamorphosis.

That's a tough question. For 14-16 pages of comic, I'd think something between 7$ and 9$. Even then, it might be a little expansive if you compare it to Bust Artist's original Milk Farm which currently sells at 13.95$ for a solid 50 pages. You would have the 'OMG new BE material' factor on your side though, so you could get away with such a price.

The big issue here is Quality, which can be different thing to different people. For example, a quality BE sequence for me would feature close-ups, nipple expansion and ripping clothes. It would be intense, arousing and serious in a sexual kinda way. For someone else, a quality sequence would be cute, fluffy and would feature multiple insta-growth.

The first example I would buy instantly, without much care for the price. The second one I would give... meh, 5$ top.

So Quality is tricky.

At least in this comic, Io's breasts grow to about twice the size of her head, each. Then they get a bit bigger during the Cow TF, as she sprouts a second pair beneath the first. Later comics may very well feature larger BEs, but probably not planet-sized (or even too big for the subject to move.)

As for other 'story codes' in the series, expect them all. I'll list some of the story ideas I've been working on at the end of this post.

$7-9 is pricey, and $14 is outrageous for anything but an epic comic by a BE-god like BustArtist. $5-6 is much more in the range that we have been discussing. Ultimately, I think this first issue will list for $4.95, while later issues may be a buck or two more, depending on length and the artists involved.

So here's the plan: I envision two series, or books, running side by side. The first is centered around a theme of "The Cruelty of the Gods", while the second is about "Forbidden Loves". The first book will focus on the characters of Jove (Jupiter/Zeus) and Juno (Hera), and will be relatively tame--no graphic depictions of sex. The second book is more somewhat more hardcore, and will also feature a greater variety of transformation genres.

The Cruelty of the Gods

1. The Tale of Io - BE, Cow TF - Jove has an affair with a young naiad, but transforms her into a cow to hide her from his jealous wife, Juno.
2. The Tale of Tiresias - TG, AR, BE - Jove and Juno argue over who gets more pleasure from sex, men or women, and decide to ask the only mortal who has been both genders, Tiresias.
3. The Tale of Callisto - TG, Bear TF - Up to his old tricks, Jove transforms into Diana to seduce one of her priestesses, Callisto. Nine months later, Callisto is in trouble with the gods, and ends up wandering the forest as a she-bear.

Forbidden Loves

1. The Rites of Bacchus - BE, FMG, AR/AP - Upon noticing certain 'changes' among the female members of his family, Pentheus tries to convince them to stop worshiping Bacchus. After being caught spying on the Rites of Bacchus, however, he has his mind changed for him. (Drastically changed from the original text.)
2. Salmacis & Hermaphroditus - TG/DG - Salmacis, a preening naiad, falls madly in love with the son of Mars (Hermes) and Venus (Aphrodite). After he rejects her advances, however, she infuses herself into him. As he transforms into a woman, Hermaphroditus curses the spring to have the same effect on anyone who enters it.
3. Pygmalion - Statue, BE, GTS, SW - The sculptor Pygmalion falls in love with his masterpiece, a statue he names Galatea, and begs Venus to transform it into flesh and blood. She grants his wish, but there are a few unexpected side effects.

And four others... but I've already said way, way too much.
