High Hopes for new Batman:The Brave and Bold ep.

So I saw the commercial on cartoon Network about the new Batman episode tomorrow.

To save the risk of spoiling the plot, basically some bad guys are trying to fight batman. They fail the first time, the second time they decide to genetically mutate themselves into various animals (shark and Tiger to name a few).

And here's the good part, Batman and I think... WildCat? Can only fight em by turning themselves into hybrid mutants themselves.

And you can only guess what batman will be....

Anyways, I'm having high hopes for this, for the preview sequences actually didn't look too bad. And since batman himself is going to do it, I'm pretty sure they'll make it detailed.

When I saw this show come out in the late of last year, I had a hidden hope that something like this would happen.

Kinda like the good ole days eh?

Don't forget, Ima try and remember.

Sounds like the mutations are going to be a sausage fest.

There's already been female TF on the show, though. Grodd turned a bunch of men and women on a cruise ship into mutants.

The whole show is a waste of time overall. The occasional poorly done TF is not worth it for shame this has brought the batman franchise.

Bronze Tiger. And yeah, looks like it's all dudes. The Terrible Trio had a female member in The Batman, but they're traditionally all-male, and this is a largely traditional show.

Still, could be some good male TF. I'll be watching for the show itself, so it's win-win for me.

I'm guessing you think the Timmverse Batman was the last good one, right? And all other efforts fall in its shadow?

The original Diniverse "Batman: TAS" was far and away the best, and it's spinoffs (Superman, Justice League, Batman Beyond) were all extremely good - Superman was a little weak following after the original series, but still very consistent (not as familiar with the Batman and Robin episodes though). Great job overall with continuity, character accuracy, strong storytelling - and dark. Obviously there were some issues when Justice League started - underpowered heroes, etc - but overall remained strong - and seeing the expanded roster in seasons 3 and 4 was great too.

Maybe they get too much backlash for drawing women's characters?

Feminists and comic book fans freak out...

I don't think it's the femenists that make as big a fuss as the parents groups and network execs pre-empting the parents groups. Somewhere along the lines breasts = sexy turned into big breasts = whores, and it's by that mentality that kids cartoons get judged. Look at how Nintendo censored pokemon (specifically the comics) to reduce breast sizes, despite the fact that girls that age will develop. Nature doesn't think to much of our social mores.

Man, reading that paragraph over again makes me sound like kind of a creepy pedo. No wonder no one makes this argument that often.

EDIT: on second thought maybe it's the widely held view of almost all societies that women can do many things which are sexual and can tempt men, but if a man does something similar then it is either non-sexual or doesn't matter. Thus, if you don't want your program labeled as being sexual just give the risky situation to a male character.

Just saw it. Would that detailed transforming like this would be applied to female characters...

Same here, it was quite decent. They did the old clothes-shredding method. Which is one of my favorites.

The the process overall was quite a bit fast, which I'm not surprised about these days.

Could have been better, but, I'm satisfied.

Anything close to the Batman: TAS "[wo]man-bat" tf (Terror in the Sky)? Heck, I think that was one of the very first episodes I ever saw - I know the werewolf ep was definitely in the first handful I watched.
