Re: Merumo chan
Thanks for posting, there were a few other older series that have been getting omages or remakes. Some additional info:
Title: Merumo-chan (メルモちゃん) Author: Osamu Tezuka (手塚治虫) / Fukuyama Keiko (福山けいこ) Magazine / Date: Comic Ryu (COMICリュウ) 2009-11 Note that Fukuyama Keiko is now as ふくやま けいこ, must be a really special ocassion to writte it on kanji suddenly, seems most characters or protagonists are usually childs or have young like appareances (artwork). |

Re: Merumo chan
Yes, I've been a Marvelous Melmo fan for some time now. There is actually a series based on it, but it's hard to find more than a few clips... It was made by the same guy who created the orignal Kimba (excellently remade as The Lion King, by Disney - but that's a secret. They won't admit it.) And Astro Boy, which has been remade into a CGI and is being released this weekend.

Re: Merumo chan
On the cover it says that they changed their pen name slightly in order to tackle the remake. Thus kanji instead of hiragana now, apparently.
