Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader

Over on a certain other giantess oriented site, (I am not sure if we are allowed to mention other sites here or link to them or not) They have obtained (legally through an audition site) several pages of a script for this movie, currently in pre-production.

http://www.thefilmcatalogue.com/cata...l.php?id=12446

If the script holds, the growth appears to take place in spurts. With clothes ripping/button popping and the subject being surprised by the same, in the middle of a classroom. She spends a portion of the movie as a mini-gts, but, again if the script holds, eventually is at least 35 feet.

I didn't see it mentioned here. Yes, I did search for "cheerleader", and read all the posts I saw with that world going back about a year. I could have missed it, but I know I didn't miss the actual script and dialogue being posted here as it was on the other place. And hey if this is a repost, and my searching missed it, I guess you will have to sue me.

In either case, it sounds like a certain type of growth situation that even the goofy B-Movies don't cover very much. Budget is 3 million, so it won't be stellar, but it might be a cut above blue screening it.

Re: Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader

Heh.. IMDB has an entry for it as well.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2098627/

Under "full cast and crew" it lists Roger Corman as the producer.

It's still "pre production" meaning it may never get made but we can hope.
With that budget I'll bet on it ending up on Syfy or other cable network.

Edit: Found a few other references including this one:

Quote:
Former “Everwood” fave Treat Williams is teaming with prolific B-movie man Roger Corman’s New Horizon Pictures (“Death Race 2000″) for slumber party-fodder “Attack of the 50-foot Cheerleader – in 3D!”.
Jena Sims has the lead role of college cheerleader Cassie Sims, a young woman who downs an experiment drug that basically gains her Hulk-like strength, Supermodel-looks and Superman-esque stamina. Unfortunately, the drug’s side-effect is that it causes it’s carrier to grow larger.
80′s icon Sean Young (“Wall Street”, “Blade Runner”) has also signed up for the film, now in pre-production under the direction of Kevin O’Neill. And I’m not sure, but I’m guessing – despite the 3D – this is a direct-to-DVD offering. It sounds like a fairly junky flick, but I tell ya, I’d much rather watch something like this – particuarly if Corman is involved – than “Bloodrayne 4″ which Uwe Boll will be stumping next week, too.

$1m-$3m sounds like it'll be pretty decent, given how much care went into the effect of having a giant person interacts with smaller, "normal" objects.

Wink Re: Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader

As soon as I read through this thread I subscribed and set the notification to instant/e-mail. And if Roger Corman reads our posts by some chance, right here and now if they do a superb growth sequence with lots of clothes ripping I don't care if they charge $100 for straight-to-dvd. I'll buy it! Just do a rip-up job on the growth.

And now that I've taken a peek at the partial script mentioned above, I've come to a simple conclusion. Whatever Roger Corman, etc. do with this film endeavor it is out of our hands. I expect the anticipation to reach a fever pitch with each and every snippet of screen caps or info that comes our way before its release. But we should be respectful of the creative process involved in making any film. They are the experts. We are the excited "big" kids waiting to reap the benefits. If it turns out with a lot of good growth process, then it does or doesn't. Considering what kind of new growth media we get these days, we should be grateful for what we do get. :P

Re: Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader

Oh man, Roger Corman? He of the original Little Shop of Horrors, Rock 'n' Roll High School, and any given number of other terrible, filmed-in-a-weekend cheesefests? That's... okay, that's probably exactly the sort of person we should be expecting for this kind of material. Expect it to bear no small similarities to Attack of the 60 Foot Centerfold, though.

My only request is for everyone to withhold making dumbass comments through social media or anyone else involved with the film and let them make the damn thing comfortably.
example: https://twitter.com/#!/BillyVandenbulc

You really think she is going to reply, f**king idiot??
