I'm mainly interested in how this xenomorph came about. I'd love to believe the first one simply got blasted out into the deep, dark yonder and by chance snagged onto the space station...

...then I remember that Ellen Ripley scorched the thing with the escape pod's thrusters.

Still, interesting to say the least.

I originally became obssessed with the series when sneaking out and watching the original Alien movie from behind the couch when I was 5. Ripley became my hero. Somehow while slick the parts of the franchise that lack her don't resonate the same way.

My parents were in high school, dating when Alien was released and then went to see it. My mom walked out. She still hates gore.

Interestingly, despite that darling bit of family history, I have yet to see the Alien films. I am going on a long trip this weekend and will be in the passenger's seat for over seven hours. Guess which film and it's sequels I'll be taking along for the ride.

...After the horror of Colonial Marines at least.

I just really hope they add some Red Herrings or other things that move to set off the Motion Tracker, like fans of a swinging light so they can trip you up and make you wonder which direction the real Alien is coming at you from.

Also, calling it now: those other dangers we'll be dealing with are facehuggers borne from humans turned into eggs, with a glimpse at a crewmember cocooned mumbling "Kill me..."

Instant Kill Facehuggers would piss me off in any other game but this.
Seriously.
Here it'd be fucking awesome.

I can't accept being instant killed in any non-Survival Horror game by a Facehugger, but in a game with instant death anyway, why the fuck not?
Plus, there has been First Person Facehugging (Without QTEs, just instant death) before, it's really uncomfortable and gross. So It'd work here.

I actually reviewed Colonial Marines for my first review on Geimaku. I called the game a train wreck and I was not the only one.

Michael Biehn called the game soulless.

An idea I had for how the Prologue should go is like.
You don't play Ridley's daughter at first.
You play someone else.
The person that gets facehugged.
First Person Facehugging is one thing.
But how about getting first person chestbursted?
