Hitting server limits, database corruption? Might need to run some repair and optimize commands on the SQL database, this forum has been around quite a while.

I was actually looking on The Governors Deviant Art page to see if there was any notice about the downtime. Is there a Status Twitter or any other place we can go to when there is downtime to check on what's going on? Would just be afraid to see the forums here pop out of existence one day with no notice...

The process was down longer than it should have been, and it shouldn't have even had this error in the first place. Still having a few issues related to our recent hacking.

Recent hacking? Were passwords compromised? That's kind of important stuff to let your users know.

I remember that there was a pretty recent 0-day vBulletin exploit that allowed hackers to get user information from Macrumors forum, among other sites.

Nothing as simple as that. More like a spam attack overloading our server with emails.
