Suggestion: Process Projects [Somewhat along the Ambassador Program]

Having people reach out to artists and bring them here is good and all, however, complementing that "individualized" search with flat out advertising (that is "generalized") might reap greater growth. Growth.[/justifiedprocesspun]

However, we just can't spam "Hey, join Process" everywhere. That's stupid. I was thinking something more along IBM's strategy with Deep Blue and Watson. Essentially, my idea is:

Process Projects. Attract (awesome) people with awesome.

Every season, we would make awesome stuff collaborately, brand that stuff with the Process-Productions logo, and have the people be attracted to us instead of us having to actively reach out and drag them in.

These projects should be something monthly, seasonal, trimestral, or so. For example, every season (Summer/Fall, etc) the forum commits to doing at least one big community project. It can be something as innocent as a big collage of artwork, or an anglomerate of stories surrounding a common idea or something more serious like a game. The goal is to make something that stands out over the rest and makes people want to post these "Process-Productions Flagships" on other sites, similarly to how people actively want to post other artist's drawings on other sites.

This concept rests on the shoulders on a key advantage the Process has. Organization. Other artists are somewhat dispersed amongst the internet, so creating a large, collaborate, impressive effort is somewhat difficult. However, in Process, there is more of a sense of "commitment" and "belonging" (due to that its a forum), as well as having coordination eased by the forum format that might help people push forwards that extra inch to make something great together.

And if we can consistantly make awesome things together, we will really get notoriety. People will say "Hey, its those guys from Process, who make those awesome stuff.". And people will want to become part of it. It will be a self-feeding loop, as the more people join, more people can help to these large projects, thus making greater things.

Its important to note that the projects shouldn't be merely "hosted" at Process. It should go beyond a mere sense of "sponsorship". It should have the Process, as a studio as some kind, be the creator of a project.

Choosing what project should be done and which not can be in the hands of the Ambassadors (or some other similar figure. "Summer Leader" for example). They will choose and guide what project should be done (after voting or something like that) and essentially work as the "moderator" and "mentor" figure projects need to rest on. They shouldn't be a commanding figure, after all, it should be a community-based project, where everyone has had a say. Instead, they should promote voting on important desicions, and provide a guideline on how to proceed with the project with thier knowledgeableness.

Considering that the Process is a multi-fetish site, an making projects that involve all of them isn't the best idea, it should be nice to have each section "take turns". That involves the additional advantage of not "burning out" the members of a certain fetish. For example, in one Spring we can have a BE project, and in some other Spring, we might decide to make an anglomerate of FMG stories (imagine it, having sites like Brawna suddenly have a mass of common-universe stories posted.)

I think it will really disperse the ambient of "we are lazy bums and we really don't do much here." and ignite a spark of activeness, and attract people with our ambition.

Edit: A more appealing way to put then forth could be naming it "Process Challenges" instead, and having seasonal challenges, for example, do a short BE story with no "b" letters in it.

I've always thought collaborative works sounded fun.
