So, hypothetical question. In your opinion, what would be the best you could expect from a TF-themed porn flick that is made with mostly mainstream viewers in mind? Let's assume we're talking about werewolves, or something similar, and the TFing character is female. A transformation with animatronic and make up, in joe dante's style. The character that turns must have a painful transformation, not pleasure. The orgasm and pleasure are first then after there is a sudden and painful transformation. You could use a real wolf, to the end and of the final form, without create a huge muppet, saving you the trouble.

That would turn me off immediately, and I'm a TF fetishist. Don't take this the wrong way, but most people aren't into the things that turn you on. I doubt you or any vanilla would enjoy the things that turn me on either. It's just the nature of the beast. (No pun intended...)

@OP: I'd expect less from a porn TF video than a mainstream TF video. Most people don't get off on what we do. We want funny-looking girls doing things that aren't explicitly sexy. That's specialty stuff. The stuff you really want needs to be custom made. That's fine. I've commissioned a few specialty pieces and it's worth it. The big problem we have is that we're used to professional-quality makeup from the mainstream finds that we have a hard time accepting relatively low-budget titillation.

Depends on what you say is mainstream for a porn flick. As far as "mainstream" goes what seems to be visually acceptable as asthetic for a transformation in, lets say, a werewolf is pretty much what Teen Wolf did however when speaking of pornographic material you'd be entering another niche that is by itself already filled by sub-categories (enjoying tits or enjoying anal for example). So I'd say that there isn't really a mainstream for porn simply because porn itself isn't taken as "mainstream" and whatever floats your boat may not (and will not in some cases) work for someone else's kinks.

What you want is good for you, but not everyone is inclined to have your personal tastes and to be satisfied as you say. I don't believe that a mainstream porno featuring a female werewolf could possibly satisfy my TF fetish while also satisfying the needs of your generalized porn-viewing public. We want two very very different things, and what the creator of such porn would likely be inclined to do is something that doesn't work for me at all- that is to say, probably fangs, some contact lenses, maybe pointy ears and a little bit of fuzz. A painful transformation also seems out of the question for a mainstream audience, and that's the only kind of werewolf transformation I like.

Sorry that's kinda a bummer of an answer. On the plus side, I'd probably still enjoy the porn just because who doesn't like a naked lady?

Has no one here seen that Swedish (I believe) porn that did a take on different movie monsters? There was one scene that involved a female werewolf (though, the actual TF was offscreen), and all it ended up being was a chick with contacts, fangs, and some mild prosthetics to make her brow look more canine. For what little they used, it was actually good makeup.

To answer the question, I don't think there is a lot of common ground here. What we get off on is the actual changes themselves. Be it bones crunching, digits and organs rearranging, tails growing, or faces pushing out into muzzles. What the average pron viewer is looking for is hot chick, tits, ass, vag, and said girl taking it up multiple holes before being covered in man gravy. You can sexualize the transformation as much as you can (see Missa's clips), but at the end of the day, unless that's what you're specifically looking for, it's not gonna do much for you.
