Other venues for your deviance
I was wondering how many of you chat, draw, skype, or do anything to explore or act out your fantasies in ways outside of this forum. I know many of us visit other forums and 4chan and the BEarchive, etc. But where do you have the most fun?
If you weren't worried about people being wierded out by your fetishes, what would you do differently? I'm a professional artist, and have constantly worried that contributing to the fetish community would someday come back to me, and blackmark me from mainstream work. I've wanted to direct projects, and even fund a few, but haven't for fear of being discovered. Sound familiar to any of you? |

mmm only other place outside this forum is really in my head XD.... but im also on myspace ( but i barely go there still)
i wouldnt really care if people know i like and drew BE stuffs now.... at first i kinda did >_> but i wouldn't openly say out loud that " Hey i like it when your boobs grow fast" that would be just plain rude XD mmm and i dont think it would matter that much if you had a fetish you like to draw O_o... i mean... how should that effect how people think of your art.... unless its like 50% of what you draw then it might get in the way of a job also...... .... skype? whats that O_o |

Well, kinda. I have been drawing transformation art and posting on the net since 2003. I can tell you it has been mostly good because of the positive feedback. But I will not lie to you, the constant fear of someone finding out ?I? draw this kind of stuff can cause some loss of sleep at times. I know for a fact it would ruin my life as a whole, and one time it almost did.
You have to put quite a few things into perspective such as work and family. Although times have been good (which I am thankful for), had I known what I know now about technology and some seedy parts of the fetish community, I would have been very reluctant to post my art. The question you need to think about, ?is it worth the risk?? Only you as an individual can answer that. Good luck! (just one mans perspective)

The more lewd the less accepted it will probably be. Stay away from thing that make people say "Dude that is really fucked up!" Each of the process here have been shown on television, even on kids shows and are generally accepted. It is not so much the process itself that is the issue but what the artist intends and what the end viewer perceives the image to convey. In greek myth medusa turns people to stone if they look at her. Petrification. Most people read, or see that depicted and move on. Some might reflect upon the transformation "I wonder what that would feel like?". While for a few the thought of the subject getting hard makes them hard. Disney's Brother Bear is a transformation story. Treasure Planet has a catwoman. Now clamor over those. Now certainly as coffeeman said there are seedier sides of the fetish community and if you cater to them the more likely you would be considered an outcast. As a professional artist, you could always claim, it was a job/commission work. Just one aspect of your portfolio. filling a niche. An Artist has to eat after all. Who knows you may find greater success in the fetish community than you would in the mainstream. You could also create an alias for your fetish contributions. If you had a website with this fetish artwork, really who would know it was you. I'm sure someone really obsessed with finding out who created that artwork might be able to track you down. But wouldn't they need to see the site first? So wouldn't they have to search for it. Do you have people out to get you that would go to such extremes? Now up to this point I have been talking about images. You said you wanted to direct or fund projects. Funding is easy use a money order. I assume if you professionally direct there are union rules that must be followed and thus your name would be credited. I suppose it would then depend on which fetish you would focus on and how it was depicted in the context of the story. I think the transformation would be less of an issue than if it was just bad. Quote:
I control my fetish, my fetish does not control me I am not obsessive, I have other interests. If some one "found out" my interest in my preferred transformation genre I would tell them openly and honestly about my interest where I think they stem from. I wouldn't be embarrassed. I'd use references that they could relate to. Keep the conversation professional not get geeky. "I enjoy watching Star Trek and have met many of the cast members who have made appearances locally." not "'m going to the trekkie convention to meet captain kirk." Gotta run can "talk more about this latter if you like. |

I'm quite ignorant regarding people finding out about my fetishes. I'm quite asocial to begin with.
But then it's a lot calmer if people don't know. :P |

Before I was married (and before I went out with my wife) I used to roleplay chat and that sort of thing, but it kinda lost it's flavor after a while because it was so sporadic and often had to be cut short for whatever reason.
Now my wife will do little roleplays and things like wear baggy clothes, say varous things to me during sex, all of which is 3 bah-zillon times better than anything online. Not that I don't love this stuff, but c'mon... |

The whole "art coming back to haunt me" thing is my biggest worry. That's why I haven't posted any thing I've done fetish-wise. That, and my fear goes deep enough that I've only ever attempted 2 fetish-based works!
Btw Mr. Insomniac... I hate you now...(lucky bastard)
