No, because it is not worth creating more threads from one source.

I never liked Manga "process" much. They tend to be big on the "*poof* aaaand your done!"

The results are nice, though. The first one is oppressively cute. The second is nice and busty and catgirly.

There are some in which show process. Not many though because there is a TF but they do not focus on it like we do. I remember Neo Gentle made an angel to demon TF that took the entire manga, and a girl to monster TF that took a few pages of process.

Cute end results but... as is becoming somewhat usual with the Japanese source material, be they anime or manga, there's not much process and the style is somewhat confusing as to what is happening.

Just entirely my own observation, of course. Is there something culturally which likes the poof over the process?

It is actually a part of culture and their magic. Tanuki would be known as to be able to use a leaf in order to shape shift in a poof of smoke. Ninjas would be able to evade attacks by making objects take the illusion of themselves, one the illusion was attacked, it would show it's true form in a poof of smoke.

But like I said before, although the majority of japanese culture is more familiar with it's own takes on magic and process, there are a few manga out there that do show process quite well.
