Dragonball film.... (oy >_>)

If no one hasn't seen them, photos of some of the actors on the upcoming Anime/Manga adaptation have been "released" over the interweb: http://dbthemovie.com/2008/05/22/mor...-chi-revealed/

Also, I heard a live-action-American-made adaptation of Cowboy Bebop may be coming to silver screen. I cringe more at the rumor that Keanu Reeves might play Spike than the whole adaptation itself >_o

I don't know. Maybe in Bizarro World, Anime films will be awesome. The first and only adaptation I've seen was The Guyver. Then again, it makes sense in the way Hollywood is going nowadays: jumping from novels to video games to TV shows to comics, and now anime/manga.

Ah hah...
You have gotta be kidding me!!!
I don't have to see the actors to know how stupid this will be.
Ugh... well, the Death Note Live action movies were awesome, but those were made in Japan... who knows how well this will be?

Its really all about how you approach a movie like this. If you go in with mid expectations, then there is little to worry about. If you go in expecting a perfect representation of the series, then you're bound to be disappointed.

I'm still waiting to see how James Marsters (actor who played Spike on Buffy and Angel) comes out looking as Piccolo. He said it was going full make up so I'm eager to see.

As a side note of animes turned live action, I want a Gundam movie. XD

You have to admit, a Gundam movie, if done right, would be pretty awesome.
Question is, which series? XD.
I liked Wing and G Gundam.

I'm not sure they should use a specific series of Gundam as that would lead to expectations if people were aware that certain characters would be involved.

My opinion: focus primarily on the suits and maybe make a more modern version of Gundam, possibly set a couple of years into the future with the basic model Gundams, Zaku, etc in it and, if it does well, in future films, begin to take designs from other models like maybe Wing 0 or which ever.

Seriously though, considering how well they made the transformers, they have no reason they COULDN'T make a Gundam movie

Ah, good thinking, Dragon!
It'd still be a good movie if done right.

Good god I wasnt expecting much from the live action DB movie, but one look at 'Goku' and i nearly died laughing. Why i ask you, why? At least Roshi looks pretty cool. Yun-Fat Chow is an Awesome actor.

And as for the Cowboy Bebop movie, I REALLY hope they do that one right, and that Keanu has no part in it. Except maybe as an extra shot by spike or Faye in the start of the movie.

Does it bother anyone else that Bulma's hair isnt blue?

There are many news of western adaptations of manga such as Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and others. In fact, they are making a live action Wicked City (yes there was one made before and it was bad).

they did try a live action gundam series/movie mixed with CGI, I believe it was called G-Saviour, it didn't turn out too well though. Got alot of negative reviews.

As far as this Dragonball movie goes, its been pretty much laughed at on most of the anime/gaming blogs since its announcement, and I really don't think it'll do too good in theaters

Still waiting for a Live-Action Eiken movie...

And no, I don't want to see Minka in it.

Anywho, I have City Hunter to pass the time.

(Looks wistfully into space over his shoulder as he imagines Jackie Chan in the Chun Li garb)

Still sexier than Uma Thurman, if you ask me...
