Totally Spies age regression

Well, I got bored and decided to watch cartoon network, and the old spy pseudo-anime pop up.
It was an episode called "I hate the eighties", it's basically about this guy who made this whole eightie-a-fyer beam thing. It made everything hit by it return to it's state in the eighties(except that on people who weren't around that time, it's a slowed process).
But I think it was rather entertaining to see a younger Jerry.

No, I don't have a clip, images, nor a link to a torrent, so go away!

they have a download on the AR Archive, under Maniac78's video gallery.

Personally, I found it pretty disappointing, but there's the link if anyone wants to check it out.

They also, in the same section, have the AR episode of Lilo and Stitch- that one is *excellent*, as I remember. I think I'll DL it and watch it again...

I agree that the episode had great promise if used right from the AR point of view but it is a kids show after all so nothing really good would happen. Also yeah it was sorta cool seeing a younger Jerry, but that song was AWFUL!!!

It's Jerry, what did you expect?
A cars-level tune?

I prefer the AR in "Evil Airlines Much?" episode of Totally Spies, the scene may have been very short but the process was done very good.

I think by this point TS has had nearly one of EVERY transformations that the process caters to with this one, BE excluded unless there's a really creepy lost episode They had the catgirl episode, at least one growth episode, that annoying black haired girl turned into a giant (who seemed to have the remarkable skill of SNEAKING UP ON PEOPLE. >( ) and I'm pretty sure there's a shrinking episode... And this is just what I got from channel surfing, though I am more than suspicious that the show was/is a thinly vield excuse to have the girls trial run through all kinds of ... uh... tastes/fetishes.

My favorite part of the episode is that they say they're regressed to the age of 10 or whatever, but they still have high-school-girl bodies. You know, only drawn smaller. (What, the animators have never seen children before?) Besides, if they're in high school, and it's 2006, then they'd be like what? One or two years old at the most, and even then it would be the late eighties. I think the episode would have been better if they just left it at changing the style of everyone and everything and left the supposed AR out.

Yes, I am thinking way too hard about a show that's essentially just a cartoon knock-off of Charlie's Angels for tweens.

But then we wouldn't get to see a younger Jerry.

I dunno, it seems basic logic to question if they're old enough as the 80s have been over for nearly 20 years. I mean, if this was made ten years ago and everyone turned into 70s versions of themselves, you'd get the same thought process.

Well, lesse if it takes about a year or whatever time it takes for them to make one of these ghastly episodes, it'd be around 04 or 05 when they were writing the script, and the girls are what? 16, 17? ...Nevermind. At BEST they'd be three year olds or something unless TS! takes place in some mythical 90s land or something.

And I think it's a bit more exploitive than a Charlie's tweens affair. They're girls with about as much brains as a stump and every episode either has something to do with mind control, any but one of the effects this place caters to, or hell, more exotic costumes.
