Yet More Anime AP
Greetings once more. It seems that AP and AR are in this year, as they're all I seem to keep running across on the anime front, lol. The current alert comes from Keroro Gunsou (or Sgt. Frog for those who don't speak the nihongo) episode 18. Keroro Gunsou is a severely wacky-arse series about a group of frog-like aliens who come to conquer Earth and end up living (not-really-so) normal everyday lives with a Japanese family and their aqcuaintances. Much as in similar shows, such as Excel Saga, one must completely obliterate any sense of logic they possess whatsoever to watch this absolutely ridiculous series in what nothing ever really makes sense. It's basically the Invader Zim of anime, except that Keroro really soesn't give much of a hoot about actually invading.
In this episode, the family siblings and alien company want to go to the beach for summer, but "mama's" busy with work and they can't go unsupervised. One of Keroro's alien comrades, a wacky mad scientist who constantly invents useless and crazy machines (such as they "Spoon of Growth" from other episodes), busts out his AP ray gun, designed for just such an occasion. One blast later and the sister, Natsumi, is adult-aged with a nicer bod then even her mom, about whom many nice-bod jokes and fanservice is made. To describe anything about the rest of the epsiode would seem like the ravings of a madman for anyone not familiar with the series, but suffice it to say that one of the conditions of the aging ray is an unstoppable urge to make Japanese "old-man-wordplay" jokes at the end of EVERY sentence. Natsumi basically spends the whole episode running around in a bikini trying to enjoy her "embarassing" day at the beach as typically ludicrous events unfold around them. Most of the other characters get involved and it all ends with the most silliest bikini contest I've ever seen. Unfortunately, much like the recent Ah! My Goddess epsiodes, as well as other process related incidents in Keroro Gunsou there's very little actual process shown, mostly just a light show or off-camera deal. The same occurs when she ARs back to normal (in front of the boy she likes). However, as the entire episode is AP related its definitely well-worth watching, as is the hilarious show in general. |

Just finished watching this. The AP wasn't bad, but just about everything else was irritating. Here are some pics that show some of the process that wasn't actually in the episode. There is also a scene near the end where she regresses back to normal, that I'm sure would look like an AP if someone could figure out how to reverse it...

Aw heck! I've got a handful of Natsumi AP things laying around here, might as well post them. I've been being a deadbeat anyways. Gotta contribute some things too.
The scans are stuff I scanned myself. The anime pictures I found on 4chan awhile ago. Before anyone asks, the large breasted woman posing with Natsumi is her mother. Yeah, large breasts run in the family. and yes, the manga has ALOT more fanservice than the anime as you can see. The anime is aimed at a much younger target audience. Enjoy ^_^ |

GWAK! I was gonna make a thread about this earlier! Ah well, there's still more transformations to cover in SGT.Frog...
...alot more. Really an astounding amount of them. I need to scan and post them all. I imported volumes 11 and 12 of the manga and there's a Natsumi AR coming up. Need to scan that too. That said, you think I should make another thread for the other transformations? Should I make seperate threads in the seperate boards for each type or one for all the transformations? Also, can anyone point me to a program for ripping video off of DVDs? I have the Aki AR sequence (which has some process to it in the anime) on DVD and I wanna rip it. Lastly: Folks, I may not be much of a regular, but can we PLEASE have some more descriptive thread titles? "Yet More Anime AP"?! C'mon man! Which anime! There's kind of ALOT OF ANIME AP YOU KNOW! Nice to differentiate between them. Oh, and is this episode fansubbed yet? ...and if so, where? These bootleg translations are starting to hurt my brain.
