BESC Comic Contest - NO DRAWING REQUIRED

Well - the Story Contest is done (results here) and as if that wasn't exciting enough, we now have a brand spanking new contest.

I don't think it's ever been done before but we're going to try it... Let me explain... the BE Story Club has decided to do more comics... and who better to write those comics than you, the BE loving public.

So, here is your opportunity to write a BE comic and see it made into an actual full comic by the artist/colourer combo that were behind Dream Girl and Island Of Dreams. Which, I'm sure qualifies as one of the best prizes there is... not only that but the three winning entries will get a years free membership of the Story Club.

Rules:

1. Entries should be 10 or 20 pages - those who have longer entries should contact prophet.tenebrae@gmail.com for special consideration.
2. Naturally, they should be BE-centric but that does not preclude other transformations.
3. Entries must be written in a comic style - that is to say, each panel must be described with around 3 sentences and the dialogue.
4. Entries must be submitted to prophet.tenebrae@gmail.com by June 1st.
5. Normal BESC terms and conditions apply.

Wow! First prize is have your comic done by Mariano Navarro!? I'm so definitely in. I've been meaning to have him do my first script ever since I tried contributing my work to BESC. I will see if I can make an entry on time.

May I ask who this artist is or a source to the Dream Girl and Island of Dreams?

You know... I could have SWORN that the first chapter of Dream Girl was around there somewhere. Damned if I know where it's gone. I'll see if I can't find you something... but trust me - very good.

Sorry, I meant the rest of them-the last couple contests had the results uploaded to the site, although the actual contest section of TOB seems to refer to about three contests ago.

I don't see what TOB has to do with it? It's a BESC contest, stories and comics will be at the BESC... the TOB and BESC are discrete and independent concerns.

I'd be interested to know where you're got the idea that BESC stuff would be posted at TOB.

If it's a comic contest, why is it that there are "no drawing required" in bold print?



Wouldn't a comic need drawings to make it a comic?
I mean, without those pictures, it's just a short story book that barely covers a page.
