Re: Spider Man: Azeroth Edition
I'll only be interested in this if it's not Lord of the Clans.
EDIT: or anything that involves Arthas in any way.

Re: Spider Man: Azeroth Edition
WoW aside, theres a hell of a lot of souce material for Warcraft. Dozens and dozens of books, snippet sof Lore from the games, etc. They have a near infinite potential for storytelling in movies.

Re: Spider Man: Azeroth Edition
wow. (no pun intended)
I wonder if they'll go all out with the budget and fully realize all of azeroths different races or just cheap out and drop tauren and the more exotic lookin stuff. I wouldn't mind them setting up Arthas similar to the way they did Sauron in the first LOTR. Some backstory, show him kicking ass, becoming evil, lay down the reason for the splintered undead faction. Then leave him alone til the 3rd movie or something. Setting up each movie to coincide with expansion packs would be cool too. first movie - basic wow. 2nd movie - demons from outland invade and need to be beaten back. 3rd movie - arthas.

Re: Spider Man: Azeroth Edition
Man, it probably is going to be Lord of the Clans. Nothing else in the Warcraft canon is as self contained as Lord of the Clans. Plus they can pitch it as Lord of the Rings with Urukhai as the heroes.
Anything involving the first two wars would involve Medivh, which would involve Sageras, and there's way too much leading into that to fit into 120 minutes. I guess you could cut up the Sunwell comics into a proper story, since it has all the standard things people expect to see in fantasy films. I want to say that The Sundering would make a good Warcraft movie, but it has way too many elves.

Re: Spider Man: Azeroth Edition
That makes absolutely no sense in any context, but man now I really want to see that.
OK, I'll relent. Any story they choose will be OK IF we get Chromie as a narrator.

Re: Spider Man: Azeroth Edition
Sam Raimi always gives Bruce Campbell a role in his films, even if it's just a minor one 。・゚・(ノД`)・゚・。

He knows how to mix the comedy and serious together well like he did in the Evil Dead trilogy. Warcraft (in general) uses a lot of that same style: It will be serious but humorous at the same time.

Nah, Hemet's too rough and tumble. If anything, I can see him as a goblin or a smarmy undead. :P
