Announcement: Slimy Thief#1 - Welcoming Thieves
Slimy Thief#1 22 pages "BE" comic Here's the new installment of "Slime Thief - Chronicles of an Item Store". The adventure continues as the elf thief Aisha and the merchant Azamat arrive to the town(now I realize that this "town" has no name) Now with 22 pages long and with a screen friendly format. Check my comicbook store Well you can also see my shameless promotional strip at my webcomic featuring Aisha's BE. While this chapter hasn't much BE it is still fun with lots of action comedy and wiggling big boobs. Preview: ![]() I encourage users here to write reviews about this comic. Also to the moderators to move this threat where it's suitable. Last edited by fapmaterial; 09-09-2009 at 06:25 AM. |

I find myself really enjoying some of the facial expressions you draw. :3

I don't want to be that guy, but $3.99 for a digital comic? I'll still buy it (later), because I enjoyed the prologue, but still =/

Yeah, $3.99's a bit too much for a comic. Sorry.

I can?t aggree, Jollyjack charges 1.25 Pound ~ around 2 bucks for a comic. Now Slimethief features more than double the amount of pages. The price seems adequate, not incredible cheap but certainly no rip-off.

But, like I said, I will buy it later. And don't feel bad about it. That price point is a common gripe with almost all comic buyers. I just wouldn't expect it for a digital comic, without all the fluff of a physical one. |

I can't believe you're complaining about a $3.99 pricetag. Where I live, comics cost between five and ten bucks a pop. Given what you're getting here, $3.99 is hardly worth whining over.
I bought this comic yesterday, and I can say right now it was worth every penny. The art style is gorgeous, and Aisha and Azamat make an exceedingly cute duo. I'm very much looking forward to seeing what future adventures they get into. ![]() |

Ha! I'll have to get this sometime. Love the style, by the way.
Just a quick question, do you use traditional screentones or a program like photoshop?

$3.99 = Diddly compared to some prices I have seen. The content is impressive, the art fantastic, the story and dialogue humorous. No reason not to buy it.

Physical comics are expensive because you have to pay a dozen people: the publisher, the artist, the writer, the printer, the distributor, etc. The $3.99 here is going to one person (I'm assuming). I understand a guy has to make something from his hard work. (I cannot stress enough that I'm not just complaining over the price and that I'm going to buy this soon :P)

Hmm, well if I might offer a little constructive criticism, it might be a good idea to get someone to proofread and refine your text. I suppose it's decent enough as it is, it's not like it's difficult to understand, but the professional feel of the comic sort of falls off when you run into jerky dialog.
Otherwise though this is fantastic. ![]() |

Re: Announcement: Slimy Thief#1 - Welcoming Thieves
Thank you all guys for the review and valuable insight I'll put many of these in consideration.
Atomic: I don't which comic you're talking about. if it is the prologue you're probably right. In the #1 I got proof reading help. BUT I got to study this access language. I'd like my dialogs sounding exactly as they are in my mind. joeman that's a photoshop filter, no secret. Traditional tones are too expensive jbird I understand some of your points, I'm a fan of paper and hand-held collectionables. Virtual stuff don't seen to have the same weight. You press delete and *puff* a entire month of work is gone forever. I pondered how much this comic could cost. Trying to balance between a monthly comic magazine and a paid website's exclusive monthly content. If you get as example expansioncomics you will see that this comic VERY cheap. If you go to a comic convention and buy indie comics you will see it still cheap. Having a crew doing a comic only will get the comic done faster not more valuable. Also Lulu bites 25% for the hosting and store service. I'm not ranting just showing the business point of view. Of course, I got to think something else if I want to make a comic with 80 pages. By my standard mathematical logic it will be impracticable. thanks a lot |
