BE Story Club ?
I searched but did not yield a sufficient answer: Has the BESC ever considered going to a pay per comic option? Seems to me a can pick and choose style would yield more customers instead of the buffet style.

I don't think they have, but if you find out they do, please let me know! That's one of the reasons why I like Taylor Made Clips, I can pick and choose what I want to pay for.
There is always the option of subscribing for a month, downloading what you don't have, cancel and wait a few months for a chunk of new items and repeating the process for now though.

I always prefer the way its setup now. I mean, you can sign up once every 6 months and just snag every comic. Its much cheaper in the long run.

Re: BE Story Club ?
Micropayments might actually be a good idea. I know lots of people who wouldn't bay $20 for everything, but wuldn't mind paying $2-3 for that one or two comics they like faturing this or that artist.
Like, just a an example, $5 for everything JohnnySwell ever illustrated would be a niche I'm sure lots of people would go for. |

Re: BE Story Club ?
Given the unpredictable pace of updates at BESC, and the constancy of the ISP expenses, ala carte purchasing would probably be a bad idea from the BESC's standpoint- not to mention the expense of two different billing systems.
While the business model works for Pixar, I'm not sure BESC's total addressable market is the same size. |

I prefer the current style.
While I love ridiculously huge breasts (large beach ball size or bigger) and 8/10 they have that I love the crap shoot stats that I might not get what I want. |

Re: BE Story Club ?
Yeah, I mean, I wish there was some way to get an updated listing of the comics available currently and what's in them without having to pay.
And if there is, I'd like to know about it! ![]()

Re: BE Story Club ?
While it doesn't exactly say what the comics are about, here's a list they keep updated.

Re: BE Story Club ?
This is probably the best link to use to see a full list of the BE Story Club material: stories sorted by date. It's got reasonably good synopses, although it doesn't indicate which entries are comics and which are text stories with illustrations -- for that, you'll have to check the "announcement" link in Cilansis's post.

Re: BE Story Club ?
Excellent, thank you.
Nothing much that's really piquing my interest over the last year.
