Hand Maid May comic redux
So, here goes try number 2.
First try here. For now, the picture here is sort of a placeholder. It's a "prototype" of sorts. I'm just sketching out the first page layout. Also, I'm open to ideas. If I like 'em I'll probably use them. Edit ver. 2.8 : Page 28 up Second post collection here. Last edited by Sucht17; 04-15-2009 at 10:31 PM. |

How about spending some time at midget and normal sizes? Trying on new clothes to grow out of.

I really liked this piece you did and im glad you're redoing it. I had one hell of a time following it the first time i saw it lol. No advice (mainly because im the last person who should give advice when it comes to art) if you're redoing it that’s good enough for me.

I liked the previous version of this as I really like growth from smaller than human size. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this one too!

Very cool. I like the idea of making a "direktors cut" of the comic. So you can make an allready great comic even better.

This is fantastic! I love the fact that you're redoing it!
Personally, I always thought the sudden spurts were best and that's what I'd like to see again, but I'll enjoy whatever you put into it. ^^ |

Even though I've never seen Hand Maid May, I really enjoyed your last attempt. If one thing needed improvement, I would say it would be the lettering. Keep it clear through the whole thing.

Just be careful Sucht, the extra amount of pages that you'll need to do will probably test you. I know some artists who decided to make more detailed series type pics and found themselves burning out.
However, on the plus side, yeah....slow growth is a fun thing, one of my favourite processes of all, so if you go for it, and pull it off, it will win....and win big.

When I did it the first time, I was able to balze out a page a night almost for about two weeks. But that's mostly becsue I had zero planning and just sketched the first thing on the page. This time I want to do it better. I felt that it's been a year, and this would be a good way to test how I've improved in a year. Also, I feel a bit of pressure to somehow outdo the original... |
