Darksiders: Wrath of War
So then this game has recieved alot of developer onlook as 'The game that should be famous, but is not.' because of it's great concepts and development. So far they've already revealed that it's a open world (Literally) action adventure with puzzle solving and rewards for your exploration to the unknown. The storyline is one of my personal favorite concepts, who doesn't love mythological horsemen of the apocalypse? And then there's the finishers. I have more videos if you wish to partake in it, should you not already know of it. And the last one is a link to your 'Navi' helper. This game bases some of it's puzzle-estique concepts on Legend of Zelda, so they made a Navi. Only this one is evil and cynical and voice acted by the same man that did the Joker in the old Bat Man cartoons: Mark Hamill. Tell me your opinions, mostly for discussion of course. Stimulate the brain tissues. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcxgZN8Ryzk&feature=related |

Re: Darksiders: Wrath of War
Despite it's obviously boiler-plate/sub-par game play, I can say I'm looking forward to this. I find modern interpretations of mythology very interesting. And the art is done by Ultimates 3 survivor, Joe Madureia, which works better for the game, in my opinion.
Edit: And hearing Mark Hamill in anything is always a plus. Especially since he said his role as Joker in the Arkham Asylum game was his last for the character ![]() Last edited by JBird; 11-10-2009 at 09:10 PM. |

Wow. They make trailers for pre-order bonuses now? What is this monster that gaming has become?

I've been looking forward to this (And Dante's Inferno) for a while, I hope to prepurchase both!

Re: Darksiders: Wrath of War
I have to say one of the major reasons I do not think this game is on people's radar is because of the main character's design. To me, it is very much of a typical sort of modern fantasy-like appearance with the heavy armor, very blockish in shape, large hands and feet, glowing eyes and covered face. I cannot put my finger on it but he gives me the same impression of design as other games.
I know they wanted a badass protagonist, but still, I think they could have came up with a design that sticks out more to me. |

Re: Darksiders: Wrath of War
Finally found some gameplay videos of the game. Looks like inFamous but with more boring environments and more boring combat. I guess it's OK if you only have an xbox.
I wish there was a game that had enough balls to make angels exclusively male/masculine, since they, ya'know, are.
