What qualifies something as "proper process"?

I just find it interesting that her taste in clothes hasn't really changed over the course of eight years. But perhaps that has more to do with the parents.

Now that would have been funny. If she was actually wearing the same pair of clothes for eight full years; so over the time-lapse, they start getting dingier and frayed...

This is a time line of a character over several years. "Proper Process" is something out of the ordinary that actually depicts a transformation taking place that normally could not happen. Snap shots of a character taken years apart depicting a normal passage of time is not "process". A character undergoing years of development in an unnaturally short time (a few seconds) would be "proper process".

Well if we're going to get all technical a process could take over any period of time. Your opinion is that it should be over a few seconds but the process forum does not define any timeline that it has to be in. A short period of time in context of over a lifetime could be considered a couple of years.
Perspective changes with stride.

Re: DA find from ShenanaEvangelian

A character changing over time is a process. Plus, we're seeing this all at once. Now if we only saw it once a year for eight years then it wouldn't be much of one. All you really have to do to fit your definition of 'process' is just erase the ages.

Boom. Process.
