At 1:34, you see a red-skinned, pointy-eared, sharp-toothed woman who is implied to be the possessed woman in the trailer. I don't expect any process, but I'd love to be shown wrong.

Of course, I probably won't bother watching the entire movie unless it's good on its own merits. Even if it has the most awesome woman-to-demon tf scene in all movie history, I'm only interested in that one scene

This cynicism is getting kind of irritating.

For one thing this is coming from the same director as the Eel Girl short, and for another WETA is doing the practical effects.

Also, this might be a spoiler if it weren't for the site's website basically spelling it out, but she's not possessed. She's just making herself look like the lead's dead wife.

Wow. You're the last person I'd expect to have not seen Eel Girl. Campion has it on his website. Dailymotion also has a really high quality version of it.

I am surprised...but every now and then you miss one. Pretty good overall.

So this came out! It's not up on the usual sources yet, but the reviews are not being kind to it. On the plus side, those words being used are "silly" and "hilarious" rather than "boring" or "dreadful", so it sounds like a proper rubber monster horror movie.

Saw it. No process.

Fun movie in its own right, but you can see in a lot of places how it was a short film expanded to 80 minutes. The opening is really effective, but I can't think of any other part of the movie that was particularly memorable. Another artifact from the short film version is that the final film got an 18, but it looks like the short film was aiming for 16, so you'll get a shot of the demon baring her breasts followed by a shot where the camera is very obviously avoiding them. It's worth watching, but not worth going out of your way for.

There's also an eel girl-like effect when the demon bites a guy's head off, if that's anything.

New Zealand director Paul Campion won himself a lot of fans around the world a few years back with his absolutely fabulous short film Eel Girl, success he built into his debut feature The Devil's Rock. And now Campion is working towards his sophomore effort, an adaptation of Brian Keene's novel Dark Hollow.

When local women in a rural Pennsylvanian town start disappearing, writer Adam Shay and his neighbours discover an unholy evil dwelling deep in the forest: a satyr - a supernatural half-man, half goat creature, hellbent on protecting itself and spreading it's seed.

Sounds like it has some potential as well. Apparently with some creature work by Weta too.

No process, but I enjoyed the movie. The ending in particular was pretty great. And a naked demon looking chick is still fun in its own right.
