+1 to that. The TFs in mainstream can be used to create some degree of expectancy (as in the trailers, where we are offered the TFs even when they last 5 seconds), but this "approach" is extremely weird to handle. I mean, I'd love to, but Mr. Dante has many other better things to do than read some requests from a group of "sexual fetishists deviants". Face it, we are bizarre even amongst the most bizarre directors you can ever think about.

Ok - maybe I'm misreading this - but John Landis wrote and directed AAWIL, not Dante. Of course John Landis also slums at trailersfromhell.com (shameless plug #2).

Nahhh, but I watch regularly - some of my favorite directors/etc contribute there - and I LOVE to see that kind of feedback on all kinds of movies - whether I've watched them before or not. I got nothin' but my two blogs ;p

I love that site too! Joe Dante was really nice during our interview as well. It was a professional setting at the time, so I refrained from gushing about how much of a fan I was. I would've liked to have asked him some questions about the making of The Howling. He's had such a great career so far, I wish him all the best with this new film. And I'm rarely disappointed by his filmmaking efforts, so I don't see the need for a petition.
