Thumbs up TheMoney: The 1000th POST!

Hey Guys.

Where Have I been you ask? Well, like most people, a little thing called life has been occupying my time. I've been busy with work, college, technology, and all sorts of good stuff, priorities all around.

But of course I haven't forgotten about all of you! I am still the Leader of the Ambassadors of Rippage on The Process, and I feel the best is yet to come. Oh and yeah there is this..............STORY I WROTE! Yep, My first Story on The Process, and here is the first part...........ENJOY!

THE PIANO

by TheMoney

Myumi Satoro didn't understand WHY she had to take piano lessons. Sure it was tradition in her family, going all the way back to after Hiroshima. (WWII) But ever since coming to America she wanted to do more "important" things with her life. Such as going to clubs, shopping, hanging with friends at weekend parties and planning for college. Of course, she was only 17, and still needed "parental guidance" as her parents called it. So as they drove into town and found a piano store to their liking, they stepped out of there family Mitsubishi and into the chandelier and candelabra lit showroom. It was a mostly brown colored room with large masses of wood and ivory around each sections. Within minutes they were approached by a salesman in a gray suit.

Salesman: "Welcome to "Ivory Palace" folks, what can I help you with today??

Mr. Satoro shook the middle aged man's hand and discussed what they were looking for in a medium level Japanese accent that wasn't overbearing and easy to understand.

Mr. Satoro: Yes sir. Me and my family are looking for something that we can use for ourselves and our daughter. Piano music has been in our family tree for generations, and I feel it is high time my daughter learned the musical trade. Don?t get me wrong, she is rather apprehensive about it, but I feel it will help teach her a level of discipline and dedication to something she many enjoy for years to come. Lord knows it would keep her away from those troublesome friends of hers.

Myumi: (While browsing with her mother Ms. Satoro) I heard that! My friends aren?t trouble makers father, their just my friends! I?m allowed aren?t I?

Salesman: Well sir, why don?t we step over as you can see we have some lovely grands and cotemporary family room models in this section. Also?.

Myumi stayed with Mother while the salesman occupied Mr. Satoro. She was bored and she knew it. She was hoping her friends Sara and Saia would call latter. Maybe they could sneak into the new 17 and older club that just opened on the East side in the Red Light district on Saturday. She giggled a bit at the thought and was confident she and her friends could pull it off! Being that it was Wednesday, she had time to draw up a ?Home Alone? style plot that would be the envy of her Senior friends at Gammarow High School. But *sigh*, first she had to endure this utterly boring trip. She seemed as if she was about to pass out from mundane ivory and wood overload when Mother interjected.

Mrs. Satoro: (gruffly) Child! Pay attention! We need to find something suitable for a beginner. A model that could??mmmmm?grow on you. We?ll start you with basic Music of our Eastern Heritage, then perhaps move up to Chopsticks, with hours of practice, you?ll be playing in the London Philharmonic in no time!

Myumi: Mother, last I checked, my major was Graphic arts!

Suddenly, her attention was drawn to a curtain that seemed to have a strange glow just barely shining through it?s silk frame. Myumi was always the nosey curious type, and sure enough, she began to walk toward the mysterious curtain. All the Time, Mrs. Satoro,

Mrs. Satoro: Oh, there?s nothing wrong with a musical hobby at least. Maybe one day ? CHILD! Where are you going!

Mrs. Satoro had a worried expression on her face, as her daughter disappeared behind the curtain. What Myumi saw had caught her attention like nothing else before. In a thinly lit room that seemed to close in on her, was a medium-sized Grand Piano with a unusual green glow emanating from it. Myumi gazed upon it with the green light flashing into her pupils, and having a effect on her like nothing else had. She was amazed at the craftsmanship and the power it seemed to give her. Because of this, she began to feel a bit light-headed, mostly from excitement.

Good start, but man, don't leave me hanging. At least not before the rippage man. I can't wait to read on. I just know something good is going to happen.

Keep it up,
_M.
