Artists: Pricing Factors
While this question was originally written with artists in mind, this can extend to everyone else:
What factors do you take into consideration when setting a price for your commissions and/or requests? Time? Resources? Experience? Medium? Something else? |

Re: Artists: Pricing Factors
Mine guide is kinda brutal...
House painters earn roughly 18.30 an hour (handy internet search and home remodel guides) If you cannot pay a professional artist $18.50 or more then there might be issues. This a simple 2-3 hour sketch is roughly 50 bucks. If you are famous then the price point starts at 200$ Hope this helps.

Quote:
oil/acrylic /watercolour might have a asking price of $500 to $1000 for the framed canvas sitting in the local community's art gallery Known artist with perhaps 30 to 90 hours of work in it |
