First-person story TF
A snippet from a werewolf story I was working on a LONG time ago that sort of died out.
************************************************** ** I remember him holding me in his arms. We had sworn to meet each other at the theater that Friday to take in the show. I rested my head against his chest, smiling as I realized I hadn't felt this way about someone in a very long time. I knew that I was in love again. I had told Keith that I had to be home by sunset but I just couldn't bring myself to leave his embrace. As he ran his fingers through my hair I inhaled deeply, taking in the scent of his mingled cologne and sweat, swearing I would never forget it. He whispered softly to me that it was getting late. I looked towards the window and bit my lip to stifle a scream. There were only a few moments left before sunset. Pulling away quickly I ran towards the exit. I nearly bowled over a young man in a black leather duster who had been standing by the doors. Without pausing to glance back I burst through the doors and out into the street. Though there were only a few cars running outside to me the noise was deafening. My head swam as I was assaulted by noise coming from all directions. Dashing to the side of the road I desperately tried to hail a taxi. Finally one of them stopped and I leapt into the back. I gasped, the smell was horrible. My nose and eyes were burning as I told the driver where to go. Looking at the sun quickly dropping below the skyline I begged the driver to go faster. Although we were already moving at breakneck speed he nodded and pushed the decrepit chunk of steel harder. The smell was choking me. The sound of the engine caused my head to throb in agony. I felt as though I was being pulled apart. Quietly I moaned, doubling over as a wave of pain swept through my body. The driver glanced back at me in the rearview and pushed the trembling car even faster, I could smell the panic in his sweat. My hands were aching terribly. I looked down to see my fingernails slowly reforming themselves into points. Curt's engagement ring, which I had still worn on occasion, had sunk into my flesh leaving a painful looking red welt on either side. We finally reached my home as the taxi skidded to a halt. I jumped out and tossed whatever money I could grab from my purse into the driver's window. I found out later that it was about eighty dollars but at the time it really didn't matter. I darted away from the taxi, ran through the gate, and headed for the front door. When I reached the door another wave of pain struck me as I tried to fish my keys out of my purse. This time, I did scream. Not out of pain, but out of anger and frustration as my keys slipped from my hand to drop onto the concrete. As I stood from retrieving them I noticed that the peephole which had been installed in the door for my own use was now several inches below eye level. I quickly unlocked the door and hurled myself inside. I remember hurriedly running down the hallway to the basement door. I opened it, rushed inside, and locked it behind me. I had nearly reached the bottom of the steps when another wave of pain struck sending me sprawling face down onto the cold cement floor. As I lie there for several minutes I could feel the soft, white hairs pushing out through my skin beneath the evening gown. I kicked off my suddenly tight shoes sighing in relief only to wince in pain at the sensation of my teeth beginning to grind against one another. My left hand was causing me unbelievable pain. I clenched my fist and Curt's engagement ring snapped in half, falling to the floor. An angry red welt could be seen through the thin white down which covered my hands and arms. I nearly screamed as the base of my spine jutted outwards beneath the gown and quickly covered with fur. My newly formed tail poked out through the slit on the left side of the dress which was now far above my hip, nearly to my waist. The red silken cloth was pulled tight against my body. I struggled to my feet as my legs began to change. My feet began to lengthen as the muscles and tendons swelled and tightened in my thighs and calves. Soon I was walking on the balls of my feet which were now clawed and paw like. My ears had become pointed and were sliding towards the top of my head. I whimpered quietly as I cupped my hands over my face as I saw and felt my mouth and nose thrust out as a white furred muzzle. I felt my back and shoulders broaden as my body swelled with muscle. The stretched fabric of my gown finally began to give way, splitting down the back as the slit on the left continued it's slow journey up my side. My brassiere was painfully tight until it finally snapped under the pressure of my expanding chest. I let out a surprised yelp of pain as my panties cut into my newly formed tail which had grown through one of the leg holes. Growling deep in my throat I reached down with a massive clawed hand and tore them from my body. I crouched down in the center of the room, knowing that at over eight feet in height I no longer had room to stand. My clothes were torn to shreds, scattered all over the floor. My heightened senses could pick up Keith's scent in the torn ruin of the evening gown. I picked up a fragment of it in my huge talons and pressed it to my muzzle, inhaling as though it were the only breathable air in the room. Feeling the shame and frustration tearing at my heart I threw back my head and howled my sorrow to the cold, moonlit night. *********************************************
