Sims 2 Growth Sequence(s)

Been posting these on the G.C. forums and it occurred to me that the subject might be appreciated here as well.

From what I've observed, all but the highest quality poser images/videos have been met with scorn and righteous fury. So I'm a bit reluctant to post these, given that they are limited by the Sims 2 game engine. Regardless, here is an old but complete series as well as some previews.

There are 72 frames total. For some reason I still cant upload .zip files to the process forums, so here's a megaupload link.

Edit: I should note that EVERYTHING but the Breast Expansion is simply a POV trick inside the game. If anyone's interested I can post the tutorial I made that explains how I did everything.

A 2nd Series

This is one I'm working on now, there are currently 66 images in this series and I suspect it's a bit over half done. The growth in this one is considerably more stubble, and is best viewed in something that lets you roll from one frame to the next.

Once again my attempt to upload the .zip has failed, so here's another megaupload link.

I don't particularly understand others' hatred of Poser. It's a tool of art just like Photoshop or anything else, and if you don't like what someone has posted, offer constructive criticism or DON'T LOOK AT IT. *sigh* On-topic: I happen to think these are pretty good, especially considering they were made using the Sims engine and not Poser. I'd definitely be interested in seeing the conclusion of the second one.

Great work Rice, the last 45 frames could probably be compiled into a quicktime or avi file, set at about 5-8 fps.

edit: Hope you dont mind, I took the liberty of doing just that.. at 6 fps.

me to. its got to be a game hack!. as far as i now you cant grow or shrink the simes skeleton mesh.

it stops the sime from interacting with the game world.

i think this is sim models rendered in milkshape or suthing like it.

Jumba: Yea, they were. As I mentioned in my first post, I posted them there (I have since changed my name there to AbsentStar). I hadn't posted them here because, as I mentioned, it's not exactly the highest quality of source material. But now that I'm working on a new one (with a slightly better grasp of what I'm doing), I felt more confident posting them here.

The 2nd series here is more up to date though, since last time I bumped and updated over at G.C. I didn't get any replies and I feel like a bit of an ass bumping my own thread twice in a row.

animewolf & 75thparallel: In the first series, it's ALL PoV tricks except for the breast expansion. In the second series, it's almost all PoV tricks, except for the minor, early bits of growth. For those I simply used the stretchskeleton command. I'll copy my tutorial post from G.C. and post it here. (Edit: and so I did)

Thank you everyone else for the praise.

Anyone who thinks The Sims is a stupid game is correct. However I go through a cycle about every two months where I say "Hey... I wanna play The Sims." Then I play it for about a week, and it's really fun for that week, and then it gets stupid again. So eh, there's something to it.

Edit: OH! And Kricket, nice animation. No I don't mind at all, if anyone sees something they wanna do with these images go right ahead.
