My first AR sequence

Hey there.

First post here, so, yeah, try not to bite my head off if I make a mistake... please?

This is an Age Regression sequence of a made-up character of mine, Maria - who is part of a race I made up - called Shadow Humans. To sum them up real quick - they're a cross between Humans, Dragons, Beetles, Bats, Jaguars, Elephants, and they're even part Dairy Cow. The result is what you see attached.

There was a story that went with this, but between multitasking, I accidentally closed it without saving >.<

Anyways. There's a picture of her waiting in her cell for her punishment (The blood on her arm is from the injection which starts the AR - there's a lot of it because she didn't go quietly.), then there's stills of each frame in the animation - in High Quality. Then there's two versions of it in Animated GIF form.
The first version is more true in terms of colours, but it's not of as high quality - some of the colours look a bit static-ish; and the other version is what happens when you copy and paste the High Quality frames on top of each GIF frame of the low quality version - resulting in a vaguely cel-shaded appearance. I quite like it, myself.

If anyone would like to try to animate the higher-quality versions, they're welcome to. My animation program is primitive to say the least; as it only allows you to animate images that are already GIFs - which means lowering the quality. X.x;

Just a warning the board doesn't handle PNG format so well and has a tendancy not to display the pictures in that format. It is a nice process, good job.

Thanks for the advice ^^ I've since swapped the PNG ones for JPEG. They're not as high quality, but if they work easier, it's worth the sacrifice.

By the way, is that Fio from Metal Slug in your avatar, or is it a character edited from a sprite of her? Either way, it's a good edit; did you do it yourself?

Not a bad sequence at all. You even made a nice little gif for us, very thoughtful. Always good to see new material about the forums.

Question box time, though, is where does this character hail from? Custom for this? From a story? I have to admit I'm a bit curious now that she's been ARed.

Yes it is Fio, but no I didn't make it. Its one of the animations they play when you beat a level, or a section of a level. I found it on the internet, and Fio is my favorite, so I kept it as my avatar.

There was a story that went with this sequence, but as I mentioned, I accidentally closed Word without saving x.x I have a habit to hit the Enter key twice, which causes problems when saving x.x

As for the character - she's my own. Entirely custom - right down to the species. I have something like 20 different characters - six of which are the same species as her.

In fact, the guy in my avatar is one of them, too. They have pretty messed up DNA, meaning that as they age, strange things tend to happen to them. It's all about okay until they get about either 30 for the males or 50 for the females, at which point they tend to, well, mutate.

The wings, lack of nose, and the eyes (and their strange eyelashes-although that only applies to the females), are all standard stuff, though.
