I love this comic strip. Not only does it use its genetics-lab locale to great effect for TF of cute female subjects, it does so with process!

Do you know if this is the first time they have transformations in the comic strip?

Most definitely not. And those are just the ones I found. Samantha's tinkering with the laws of nature leads to many, many TFs of subjects both male and female. There's also Remora, a mermaid who has the ability to live as a human for 12 hours, but has to spend 12 hours as a fish afterward.
