TF Central falls
For those of you unaware, TF Central has officially pulled the plug.
Their domain name has been relinquished and is now up for grabs. What does this mean for the over 20 artists and writers who were hosting their websites on TF Central? I guess we'll have to wait and see. |

Re: TF Central falls
They'll find their place eventually. If they need any free webspace, they can send a PM to me if they'd like.

That's sad to hear... good luck to those artists with whatever they want to do now.

Re: TF Central falls
There were other cool sites hosted by TF Central...
Polovere's TF site. Osprey's master list of TF sites. TF Seeker's Sightings which had a very good list of sites. |

And people thought I was being alarmist about the heavy decline lately....

Re: TF Central falls
I sure hope they gave the artists some kind of notice! Imagine if the site you'd put years of your time into, imagine if it just went *fft!* and vanished without so much as a warning! I'd probably fire some emails out to the service provider with some choice words...
This sucks. It epitomizes the expression perfectly. This. Sucks. I certainly hope it's not the same for Furvect. That server seems to have been suffering some trouble lately too, although that might just be reception... Last edited by Seadog Driftwood; 01-22-2009 at 09:56 PM. |

Re: TF Central falls
TF Central has been heading to this for....ages.
I do hope every artist/hostee there kept an offline backup of their site and stuff. (Which is the smart thing to do). In any case it's better that the sick animals die to make room for a healthier animal. So to speak. Hence: another better site should arise to host the refugees. |

eg TF art is "good" from the POV of generating money The regugees hence would have gotten their hands on some of that money and some of it would have flowed to their host, and the sick animal wouldn't have died.Everyones happy. TF art is 'bad' from a generating money POV,has no social prestige,is the realm of dirty old men in white briefs, etc The refugees starve. The sick animal is saddled with the taint of their filthy contagion, such as a unsaleable domain name such as **TF**Central.com and the beast flops over and dies. The rodent like refugees flee the dead host and look for a new victim to spread the contagion to. |
