Puchi Carat - Peridot AR (Gameboy Ending)

Was just playing the Gameboy version of Puchi Carat (as it's the only version of the game with an English story mode) and saw Peridot's ending in it, which happens to have AR!

I know there's no process, but I'm hosting it on ImageShack for bandwidth's sake, so don't complain too much okay?

As you can see, I put a rip of her Arcade sprite in there to better show the transformation. This is completely different from her Arcade ending, wherin she becomes a dominatrix and makes all the men in the game her servants.

For those of you unfamiliar with the game, Puchi Carat is a puzzle game from Taito that combines Breakout/Arkanoid with Puzzle Bobble/Bust-A-Move. Only the Gameboy version was released in America (though a story-less World version of the arcade game exists). The Arcade version, however, features big colorful animations in the background that are VERY impressive and I wish I could rip them. There's also a Japan only Playstation version

Anyways, the Arcade version *IS* coming to America soon on PS2 and XBox in the Taito Memories 2 collection. I'll keep you all posted on if they translate the story mode or not.

I'm gonna see what I can do about getting the PS1 game now as it may have a better version of the Gameboy ending (the Gameboy game seems to be based on the Playstation version).

One other thing that's worth noting is that more transformations may appear in this game somewhere. I'll keep my eyes peeled. See, I actually translated the Japanese Wikipedia article on the game and, cross referencing it with the barely intelligent Gameboy translation, I've pieced together that Peridot and By were once two human parents, but their oldest daughter Sapphire cast an incomplete Animalization spell on them turning the father into an animal with the mind of a human and turning the mother into a hot hot bunnygirl seemingly with the mind of an animal. Unfortunately NONE of this is shown in game.

Also weird is By's Gameboy ending, wherin Sapphire claims to be transforming but isn't...weird...maybe the PS1 version will shed some light on the mystery?

Also there seems to be a little girl who's really much older. Betting on an AP of her.

There is very little info on the game online. An FAQ exists talking about the endings, but most of them it just says "I don't know what's going on here". Maybe there's some transformations but doubtful. I'll keep on playing the Gameboy version and report on any further transformations and also will try to get the Playstation version and see what endings that one has.

So...think of this as an alert perhaps? That the PS1 game may have a nice AR sequence? *shrug* Anyways yeah. There's pic. Enjoy.
