Cool Thread for Magnificent Melmo/Merumo!

I know Merumo has been mentioned earlier in the threads and such, but I am creating a new one for things that I have found.

As many of you know Magnificent Melmo is about a girl who has some kind of magical candy that lets her age and regress by eating one.

Just check out the official page: http://en.tezuka.co.jp/manga/sakuhin/m078/m078_01.html

And another site I havent checked much out yet:
http://animebb.jp/production/tezukapro/melmo.aspx

But I have attached a few pictures that I have found across the net. I hope you enjoy them!

BTW. I am downloading a few episodes off of eMule under the name "Bon Bon Magici Di Lilly". I should be able to get some clips from them.

Smile Thanks for the pictures

Thanks for the pictures Sutibaru. I always wanted to know more about Magnificent Melmo. Some of the short clips of her that I found was on The AR Story Archive.

In my option, it seens that most of the process is mostly on science.

Actually the candy is given to her by her dead mother who died from a car crash. I do not know if she gives it to her before or after death.

!! Melmo was on postage stamps?! (Maybe I shouldn't be surprised: a number of Tezuka's other characters have been...)

Red face Love Melmo

Thanks so much for the pics. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I am a major Tezuka fan. I just recently purchased the Kimba DVD. My kids love it, amazingly. I was so happy to be able to share it with them. Next I will get Astro Boy, but I really wish I could get the Melmo DVD at a reasonable price. All I've seen is the Japanese version for about 300$. And it may not even play on American equipment. I bet it would on a PC though. I'm pretty sure there were some English language VHS tapes made as I have seen references to them on the archives at groups.google.com. A few used ones were sold several years ago by a site that no longer seems to be all there. I heard that the Italian version a was on some kind of torrent thingy. It's called I Bon Bon Magici di Lilly, I think. I was even able to hear the theme song to that version of the show, and even see the beginning and end credits. I can dig up the link to them if anyone wants it. Hey, I guess I could even poste them. Shall I? Too bad it's not readily available on an English language DVD. It looks sooooooooooooooooo cute.

I have been meaning to get to them. I still have to figure out how to reduce the size and be able to cut segments and keep the sound.

I am doing it right, but it is just not working out.

Lightbulb I got an idea Sutibaru!

If you have Windows Movie Maker you can reduce & edit it during in "Save to Computer". It will for me if I have a big file that needs to shrink down to size.
