Image - Be gentle, its my first
So i've taken up sketching recently (to see just how recently, see attached image) and i figure that you guys have seen all kinds of images that run from ranzab's near perfection to... Well.. lets not mention them.
So, i decided to sketch a little something and put it up to public scrutiny, and since i see problems but very few fixes. I figure there are a few artists who know a thing or two about putting pencil to paper, so i'll welcome any critiques (positive criticizm and fixes please ![]() Also, very quick run through on the wall in photoshop to add a bit of definition and get rid of smudges in the background. So, without any further blabbering, i present a pic from a favorite category of mine. |

I think you did pretty good for a first try. You've definitely gone for an advanced pose by having her stand that way. Your art style seems to lean more on the realistic side as opposed to the anime style that first time artists usually spam, so thats a big PLUS in my book. BY throwing in that dresser you gave your character a certain air of presence, subtly hinting to the audience that she's standing on a plane in 3d space and not just perpendicular to the floor. Also, you did a good job of dra-

Hey great job, it does look nice. Your proportions on the upper body are nice. And I agree with venomcrush about the advanced stance and 3D placement- good stuff. I, for one, would welcome more pieces from you. ^_^

Pencil art is just fine if it's done right! This is pretty good. So far, my favorite pencil art sequence is the "Grow Up" one from the GTS section of this sight. That Sequence is GTS heaven(for pencil art anyway)!
This BE is also good. |

So, here's the next part, i decided instead of coming up with a new scenario/model, i'd just continue the above one.
i think she's enjoying herself. Last edited by delurke; 11-04-2005 at 10:57 PM. |

In what seems to be the common response to a BE around here, i'll draw someone who's discovering the hazards of wearing a low cut button up blouse around the office...

It's good... you really can't go wrong with breasts on the verge of overwhelming a blouse...

This is a good one too, tho a more standard pose, and still lacking shadows. I like the detail and general proportions a lot. Again thx for posting. ^_^ -tsokei |
