D3P just released volume 91 of the simple 2000 series. Called, "The All Stars Kakutou Matsuri," it features the lead characters from D3P's most popular games in a one-on-one fighting game. One of the characters, Riho Futaba (I think that's her name, but my Kanji sucks), is the blue bikini clad beauty from a dozen games, the most notable of which being "Daibijin (the great beauty)"
Anyway, she has a move in the fighting game called the "Chuubijin (the medium beauty)" where she grows to 15 feet or so and shoots lasers at the opponent. I'm praying there are more moves like this, but there's no move list either in the game or the book. If anybody knows more, lemme know and I'll try to capture it. But for now, this is what I got. Enjoy! |

Well, finally got the game today.
What can I say? Well, it IS a budget game... It is rather clunky, and pretty much all matches degrade into button mashing or cheese shots (repeating the same move over and over). Each character has a super move (still trying to figure out how to activate it every time. Too busy button mashing.) and the "chuubijin" is Futaba's super move. Even though I've been doing nothing but button mashing, I've got a pretty good (bad?) feeling that that's all there is. The only thing that comes close to GTS besides that is in the final stage when you fight the Dai-Oh demon lady (who is nothing more than a re-skinned Futaba set in hyper mode so you feel the computer is cheating) in a burning city. Both your character and her are GTS (or GT if you picked a male character.) in the city. Even then though it's not great. I've only played a little bit (just got it today lol), but I can't think of much good things to say about the game. (though, I don't want to admit I wasted my money...) Basically, there are far better fighters out there, and if it's GTS you're after, you'll be far better off with THE Daibijin. Only get this game if you happen to really like D3's quirky characters. |
