Now, I'm saying this from the get-go: This is a serious thread. Nothing connected to TF, or jokes, or to shock people. Just an honest to God "I now have renewed hope in the human race" thread. Breakthroughs in science, the actions people take, little miracles, all that jazz.

To start off, this kid was really endearing. And far more grown up than I'll more than likely ever be.

I saw this while I was at work the other night, on CNN.com, and I totally agree with you. This little guy is wiser at 11 years old than I'll be when I'm 80 and laying on my deathbed. Great post, man.
