If it's good, I'm going to congratulate the animation studios.

If it sucks, I'm blaming Microsoft and 343 Studios.

I've never played Halo, but I love good animation, so we'll see how it goes...

Watched the teaser. Rather underwhelming if you'd ask me. Just because the studios are japanese, doesn't mean the characters have to look like anime characters. It's based on a very western story and original source. It just looks odd to me.

Hell, I'd prefer if they looked like anime characters. The animation studios atleast know how to handle those. Personally I thought Toei's version of the Spartan looked the most natural. All of the 3D animation with humanoid characters just looked really akward. I've yet to see any japanese animation studio pull off humanoid characters with 3D models. The americans and chinese are kicking their asses on that front.

I'll probably watch the thing anyways, just because Oshii's involved in one of the shorts.

I really liked that The Flood expanded on the events happening that DIDN'T involve the Chief. It really helped to flesh out the whole incident on Installation 04 ^_^

Is the anime going to be based around the chief? If so I think that they should halt production. They should start with other spartans or chronicle other events in the UNSC. You could just do a revamp of the games throught the anime but it seems pointless. No matter what the battles will be the same.

The prequel to Halo is The Fall or Reach, and the one following The Flood is called First Strike.

The Flood bascially IS Halo the Novel, but it adds soooo much more. not only do you get the fond memories of Halo, but you get so much more. You even get the memoirs of a human that was only half taken over by the Flood! ^_^
