Re: Deadliest Warrior
I hope the spartan kills the samurai, I hate that high and mighty, wooden armoured asswhipe
and I'm voteing spetsnaz in GSG9 vs SWAT, I think it will be close, but I'm going with the germans I have to say, I'm looking foreword to this season

Re: Deadliest Warrior
considering who took down who, and the nature of this show, I don't think the ninja would have stood a chance

Wait, is this a marathon or a "rematch"? I'm confused.

Re: Deadliest Warrior
I hate that they figure a samurai can beat a viking, now I may not be the most knowledgeable on the subject, but I remember reading... somewhere that a katana was a slashing weapon, and correct me if I'm wrong, but chainmail is made to stop that, isn't it?

You gotta take Deadielst Warrior with a grain of salt. If they were throwing people who were comperable, like say... a Knight against as Samurai then sure that'd be interesting. A Viking against a Spartan... so on and so forth. How they determine who fights who is just screwy.

Re: Deadliest Warrior
I wanna see a classically trained fencer going to town on a samurai or a knight. Fencing is all about quick movements and getting in and out. Plus... they had a gun.

While on the subject of that show, it was ridiculous how they constructed the fight. The samurai aimed and fired his bow while the Viking stood there like a lemon, not even using his shield to cover his body. Sorry, but no. They shouldn't just compare the fighters weapons class by class, they should see what the weapons do when against the rest of the enemy arsenal too.

Re: Deadliest Warrior
true enough, like green beret vs spetsnaz, it was a no brainer that spetsnaz would win
should have been delta force it's the same with SWAT vs GSG9

Re: Deadliest Warrior
Agreed. Of course, another deciding factor... their targets don't move. :P I can assure you where I to have some dude running at me with any sorta weapon I would be trying the one minute mile, and looking to trip people as I go. There's no cowardice in running away as long as you shout Regroup. I learned that from Ranma. :P
